Thanks Hunter! I have to tell you I was even dumber then than I am now. I started taking photos as soon as we arrived. Middle of the day. This was 1983. We went to the El Tovar Hotel and I looked at the books. One on photographing the Grand Canyon s…
Looking forward to Apple upgrading all their applications to 64 bit. Snow Leopard is the future. Maybe I am an optimist but I think we have a faster, more stable future on the Mac.
Noticed that my HP C7280 All In One stopped scanning after upgrading to SL. Had to delete all of the installed HP software for the printer so the new drivers can work. No fax, but scanning is supported via Preview and Image Capture. Basic printing w…
I facilitate the Final Cut Pro SIG for ACD. I support hundreds of Macs for a major advertising conglomerate in Dallas and have done so since 1998. The years 1992 thru 1997 I sold and supported Macintoshes for an major Dallas Apple dealer. During 1997 Apple paid part of my salary as as an Apple Server engineer/evangelist. In the latter 1960s I served as a U. S. Air Force technician maintaining airborne computers and doppler radar. I am a Viet Nam Veteran (USAF Jolly Green Giants)and have an M.S. in Business Administration. I have produced most of the ACD meeting videos for the web. I am a serious photographer and audio/videophile who loves to travel by train. Carl Stewart, Don Smith and I have recorded the Big Beats, a 50 year old rock and roll group for a DVD. Hi, Ed --
I'd be honored to join, but I'm still struggling with iMovie! Do you really think I should join the Final Cut group?

Hi, Ed --
Thanks for your words of encouragement. The bunny slippers are fully waxed up by now and ready for the run. I just discovered that I can't change the timings in my PPT presentation, so I'm going to have to re-create the presentation anyway.
One good thing! I got a good Talking Head intro take. Of course, that was all Apple. (Does the USB mic count as all Apple?)
Thanks again. Even "Tough Cookies" crumble from too much pressure.
Ed,
I currently use a quite old G-4 running OS9. I have not upgraded and I keep it in that operating system because I run Adobe's FrameMaker app which does not run on OS10 (only PCs). I guess I'm not smart enough to create a bisexual (as I call it) Mac!! I use my G-4 strictly for personal and volunteer not-for-profit organizations such as Order of Daedalians' DFW Flight.
Hi Ed,
I love taking photos, therefore I do a lot of editing, etc.. Spent three weeks in Italy (this past September) where I took almost 2000 photos. The beauty of digital photography... you can go nuts (which my husband thinks I am). Editing options with iPhoto are varied as you know and certainly EASY. I do have Adobe Photoshop but find I really don't need it.
I've downloaded a ton of music from my own and friend's CD's and enjoy iTunes. Just started shopping at the iTunes store. It's tempting to get a bit carried away at times, however. The Genius Sidebar, a very smart addition from Apple, does not help! I probably should try to find sites where one can get 'free' music. Any suggestions?
Other than that I do Mail and that's about all I have time for. The big WWW has yet to be explored. All in good time.
I'm just beginning, really. Do love my MAC!

Our stay in Switzerland was in Lauterbrunnen. Only got a few days there (we were on a Rick Steve's tour) but it was fantastic. Cannot wait for an opportunity to not only go back there but to see more of the country!
