- You may like to try Aperture, Apple's pro photo application. I have used it since it first came out. There is a free trial for 30 days on Apple's websie. I am an amateur photographer as well. I use Aperture to organize and edit. I also have Photoshop and don't use it as much as Aperture. You can get video training on many software programs thru Lynda.com. My company gives me free access on request. I really like Lynda.com.
