Unfortunately, I've got this Sony CX100 camcorder, and as pretty as the video looks, you know, of course the files are a mess to work with Sony's software, unless I'm on a Windows machine. I'd love to be able to edit in the latest IMovie, but alast, it looks like I may have to use Bill and Sony's 'stuff' ahem', instead. I want to put a 10 minute portion of the instructional video on a web page btw. Nite! Hunter

Sounds good! I'll use iWeb. I'm vacationing, so it'll be easy to take my time. I'll let you guys know how I do.

I second iWeb! I use a plethora of different tools for working on the web, but I sometimes go back to iWeb because I can create media rich sites very quick with iWeb and don't need to insert any code at all. I'd say start there first.

Probably the easiest thing to do is use iWeb on the Mac with all of its templates and themes. Its a nice easy way to start. Then you can graduate to more sophisticated stuff like Freeway or RapidWeaver. But the default commercial one is Adobe's DreamWeaver, which is powerful, but not easy. To start off with... go with iWeb... especially if you already have it on your computer!

I'm going to be working on my first template for a site, using an Apple computer. I'll be starting tonight. I've never done a site using an Apple machine, and this should be very, very interesting. I've decided to do something lite and airy, to see how it goes, and I'm doing a 'theme' of my pets, past and present. I always wanted to do that sort of page anyway, and I'd done an Office Word document, which gave me the inspiration. Any advice will be appreciated, VERY appreciated! I'm using my roommate's MacMini. I may even put a video on the page, but I'm getting WAY ahead of myself so...thanks you all! Hunter

Well I was just noticing something cool about Safari 4. It is amazingly multi-processor aware. I have an 8 core MacPro and I pay attention to which programs peg out a single cpu and which ones know how to make good use of multiple processors and Safari 4 does a great job of only increasing the cpu load a little equally over all 8 cpus. This is particularly noteworthy when watching video.
