Templates are certainly one thing that I haven't found a wealth of, at least free ones that are worth using. I wish there were more. I've developed a couple for my own use in Pages and Keynote but haven't found a large number in the wild. I'd be interested in a site if someone knows of one.

I try to use Pages for everything I can, but often find that I have to fall back to something like Open Office in certain cases or even run Word under a vmware session. The conversion between the two formats is still not perfect and sometimes just to trying to overcome.

Keynote is vastly superior as a presentation tool, but if you are working with someone that has created a huge, fancy presentation in Powerpoint I've found myself forced down that path as well.

Anyone find any new templates to try?

I use Pages to do just about everything that I do with word processing (except Mail, of course). Excellent program!! I don't get a chance to make a bunch of presentations, but I translate all the Powerpoint docs I get into Keynote and edit from there.

Keynote is quite popular in the advertising business I work in. It is the unfair competitive advantage.

Allen, maybe you and I need to start a "Pages" SIG?

I prefer iWork! I use pages all the time for work and school. I use Keynote for all my presentations, and if I have a need for spreadsheet action, Numbers is there for me now.

I'd love to see an iWork SIG or meetings related to it.

Are you using Pages? I have the sense that not many are, and it is really the most universally useful to Mac people in the iWorks suite. I would like to start a SIG if here were enough interest...
