ACD Social Tweaks and Update

The main reason that I decided to start our social site here on Ning was because it is so full of rich features (like a Mac ^.^) that I thought it would work real well with you all. I am delighted to see some of you posting your pictures in the Photos area and some that have posted misc. videos on here too. Remember, if you post a video here, you can embed it in your own personal site and it will link back to this group.
I am always constant keeping an eye on the group and tweaking the group. Adjusting the colors, text and backgrounds for a better feel when you visit the social side of our Apple User Group. In addition, customizing the front of the page to what would be most important to you all when you visit the site.
There are a couple of things I want to let you know about. You can adjust how you get email from this group. Simply goto your settings (on the right side of the page under your name) and click on email. You can adjust what emails you get or even none at all. You also adjust your privacy on how people can search you too. You can even have it where your profile page is only available to people you friend here on the Ning network.
Also, Ning has updated how you can view pictures. Did you check out the new full-screen mode? There are some really great photos here and be sure to upload a few yourself.
Are you checking out the SIGs on here? SIGs are kind of like focus groups for specific topics. The Mac Military SIG has been busy lately. You can join specific Special Interest Groups by clicking on SIGs up top and post to specific areas covering all sorts of topics like Bento, iWork, and Aperture.
